A. Bent plate glass of very good quality. Bubbles and wrinkles are very rare and minor. Color is slightly greenish but is minimized by the penciled edge.
B. Bent and beveled plate glass of good quality. Some pieces may have occasional but minor blistering along the edges. Minor bubbles or wrinkles may also appear but are not considered defective. Color is slightly greenish.
C. Beveled plate glass of very good quality. No bubbles, blisters or wrinkles. Expect occasional minor roughness along the edges where they are hand-finished.
D. Jade crystal (plate glass) of excellent quality. No bubbles, blisters or wrinkles. Very highly polished. NOTE: Walnut bases may require some shimming if a snug fit is required. NOTE: Card and memo holders are hand assembled and all parts are not always perfectly parallel or square to each other. Please allow 1/8″ tolerance for these purposes.
E. Pressed glassware (machine made) of fair quality. Bubbles, wrinkles and light scratches are common.
F. Hand-made, full-lead crystal of fair quality. Expect some bubbles and swirls that are inherent to this type of crystal. Slight fire-polished roughness may occur on the rim but is not detracting or considered defective.
G. Hand-blown crystal (not full-lead) of good quality. Expect some bubbles and swirls that are inherent to hand-blown crystal. Dimensions and weight will vary from piece to piece. All pieces in this category are substantial in weight with excellent color and sparkle.
H. Machine made lead crystal of good quality. Expect that some swirls and small bubbles will occur. Very weighty with excellent coloring and sparkle.
J. Machine made glass of good to fair quality. Expect swirls and small bubbles but are not too offensive. Coloring is fair with a little sparkle.
K. Hand-blown, full-lead crystal of very good quality. Expect some minor bubbles and swirls that are inherent to hand-blown crystal. Dimensions and weight will vary from piece to piece. These pieces are substantial in weight with excellent color and sparkle.
L. Beveled plate glass assembled with lacquered brass channels of good quality. Glass contains no bubbles or swirls.
N. Machine made glass of fair quality. Bubbles, wrinkles and light scratches are common. Once engraved or decorated the imperfections become much less noticeable. Good coloring with some sparkle due to facets.
O. Machine made, full-lead crystal of good quality. Expect some bubbles and swirls that are inherent to this type of crystal. Very heavy with good color and nice sparkle. The pattern on this piece is machine pressed and not hand-cut.
Q. Machine made colored glassware of good quality. Colors are very brilliant and help disguise slight imperfections inherent to this type of glass.
R. Full-lead crystal of good quality. Facets are cut and polished by hand and may vary slightly. Very impressive in weight, color and clarity. Slight bubbles and swirls may occur.
S. All Art Glass pieces are Mouth-blown and formed by hand. Expect minor bubbles and swirls that are inherent to mouth-blown and fully hand-crafted glass. Dimensions and weight will vary from piece to piece. Designs and patterns within the glass may vary significantly. Colors are brilliant. Weight is substantial.
T. Hand-made glassware of fair quality. Expect bubbles and swirls that are inherent to this type of glassware. Color is slightly greenish. Dimensions may vary.
U. Ceramic mugs of typical quality. Expect minor blisters or other imperfections. Dimensions, color and glass will vary.
V. Machine made glass of good quality. Expect some minor bubbles and swirls. Nice coloring with some sparkle.
W. Black glass of excellent quality. no imperfections.
X. Starphire crystal (plate glass) of excellent quality. No imperfections. Very highly polished. Glass has very slight blue-green tint but not nearly as green as jade crystal. Metal parts are chrome plated.
Y. Optical crystal of excellent quality. Bubbles and swirls are extremely rare. Highly polished with excellent weight, color and clarity. Dimensions may vary slightly,
